LloydsPharmacy Clinical Homecare at Nursing Live
Compassion Café at Nursing Live
Nursing Live is creating a space dedicated to the emotional well-being of nursing staff. Sponsored by LloydsPharmacy Clinical Homecare, the Compassion Café provides a quiet and inclusive area for nursing staff to process and reflect on the emotional impact of their job.
What to Expect at the Compassion Café:
Quiet Contemplation: Take a moment for yourself to process the emotional toll of your vital work.
Peer Support: Engage in heartfelt conversations with colleagues, providing a safe space to listen, empathize, and unburden.
Facilitated Workshops: Join us for insightful workshops on key compassionate and self-care topics, including dealing with the loss of a patient, supporting bereaved families, and understanding the impact of the pandemic.
Speaker: Hollie Murphy, Clinical Operations Manager
Compassion fatigue is a widely recognised term in healthcare. Join Hollie Murphy, an experienced Oncology Nurse and LPCH's Clinical Operations Manager, in this session as she sheds light on the signs, symptoms, and coping mechanisms associated with compassion fatigue. Hollie joined LPCH in 2020 and has held roles like Practice Development Nurse for Oncology and Clinical Operations Manager for Specialties. Her dedication to safeguarding colleagues' mental health led to the development of the compassion fatigue and resilience training within LPCH.
Hollie's expertise and commitment make this workshop invaluable.
